About
Designer, Creative Director
Lora Soto
I've spent the last 17 years building brands and creating content, directing immersive events, growing email revenue, and mentoring creative teams. My work spans everything from logos and packaging to campaigns that live in glossy magazines to a 40-foot video wall at Nordstrom. I started my career processing film in a darkroom and setting up ads for newsprint, and since then, I've lived and worked through more platform and channel revolutions than I can count. The tools, the formats, and the way people consume things never stops changing. But I've learned to find solace in the one thing that doesn't change. At the heart of all creative work is always the idea. That is where my strength is: finding the thing that makes you, you.
That mindset has helped me build brand identities that truly stand out, like Nest Bedding, a mattress company full of personality, and Buttermilk Kitchen, a beloved Atlanta breakfast spot I've been growing since 2012 alongside my design bestie, Lucy. We've collaborated so long and so well that we made it official and launched Studio-2L, our own design studio. (Just went live, check it out: Studio-2l.com)
When I'm not directing creative, you can find me clipping in on the Peloton, cheering on my kids at the roller hockey rink, or blasting something loud on the drive home. Queens energy shows up in everything I do: direct, full of flavor, and a little unexpected.
